Overview:
The family of HP StorageWorks Enterprise Systems Library (ESL) E-Series Tape Libraries offers both best-in-class drive and cartridge densities. The ESL E-Series contains from 322 to 712 LTO cartridges or 286 to 630 SDLT cartridges in a single cabinet. In addition the ESL E-Series has the ability to scale to twenty four drives in a single library cabinet. The ESL E-Series offers up to 1410 Ultrium cartridges or 1248 SDLT cartridges with two frames using the ESL E-Series Cross Link Kit. With the E-Series Cross Link Kit it supports up to 44 tape drives as one large frame tape library. The ESl E-Series also offers best-in-class storage density with up to 28.4 TB of native storage capacity per square foot.
