Overview:
The Compaq ESL9326D Enterprise Library provides highly reliable automated backup and restore capabilities within the enterprise storage market. The ESL9000 platform also offers high availability and scalability features not normally found in tape libraries. With a PCI backplane incorporated into its architecture ESL9000 libraries can easily accept future product enhancements such as Fibre Channel cards network administration cards hardware RAIT or a library thin server card for direct NAS control. The ESL9326D is targeted toward back up and restore applications for large database servers running mission critical consolidated databases. These database applications typically operate enterprise class servers with terabytes of consolidated server storage. The ESL9326D is highly suited for organizations that have a requirement for frequent consolidated backups or require multi-host library sharing solutions over SCSI.
