Overview:
With up to eight Pentium III Xeon processors and 16GB of memory the Proliant DL760 is the server that can handle anything your business has to throw at it all in only 7U of rack space. This model is configured with four 900MHz Pentium III Xeon processors each with a 2MB write-back L2 cache an integrated Smart Array controller with support for RAID levels 0 0+1 and 5 and 2GB 100MHz ECC SDRAM (expandable to 16GB). In addition to the 100MHz front bus speed the Proliant ML750 contains a 3.5 1.44MB floppy disk drive and a 24X (max. speed) slimline CD-ROM drive. There are four hot-plug drive bays that provide a maximum internal storage capacity of 145.6GB (4 x 36.4GB). Because there is no pre-installed hard drive you are free to configure storage to fit your needs. The Compaq NC3134 Fast Ethernet Dual Port 10/100 PCI NIC (upgradeable to gigabit) takes care of your networking needs while the 10 free hot-plug PCI slots offer plenty of room for expansion. The integrated PCI graphics and 2MB of video memory support resolutions up to 1024 x 768 in 256 colors. There is no pre-installed operating system. Supported operating systems include: Microsoft Windows NT Server; Microsoft Windows 2000; Novell NetWare; SCO UnixWare; LINUX (RedHat S.U.S.E. TurboLinux Server Caldera eServer); and Sun Solaris Intel Platform Edition.
